ARTIST BIO:  BLAZE IT J

Blaze It J, is a trailblazing songwriter and music producer with roots in the vibrant city of Detroit, MI. Blaze It J’s journey began at just 9 years old when his love for creative writing blossomed into poetry and short stories. By 12, those stories transformed into original songs, including the cheeky “Janet From Another Planet,” which he proudly performed for his mom. Inspired by watching his stepfather play the organ at church, Blaze It J taught himself piano, guided by a natural ear for melody and some foundational tips from his stepfather. One of his early standout moments came during his senior year at Cass Tech, where he created a custom beat for a talent show performance that had the entire crowd on their feet. An eclectic music lover, Blaze It J draws inspiration from a wide range of artists, including Sia, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Usher, Beyonce, Dua Lipa, Maroon 5, Big Sean, Jay Z, Tyla, Ellie Goulding, Sabrina Carpenter, Tate McRae, Jason Durulo, BTS and Calvin Harris. Beyond the Music – When not in the studio, Blaze It J enjoys basketball, swimming, traveling, writing scripts, and designing clothing. He’s also releases comedy TikTok skits.
